Access to Maenam Viewpoint is via a set of stairs located behind Black Rose Cafe. To get there, you’ll need drive along a small road which seemingly ends out of nowhere. But just few meters ahead is Black Rose Cafe which has parking.
Black Rose Cafe is a bit of dive bar by the beach with its own unique quirky charm. They have a good selection of drinks and food including 90 baht cocktails (as of June 2023) during happy hour. Definitely consider relaxing here for a drink by the beach either before or after going up to the viewpoint.
The viewpoint itself provides the perfect spot to capture stunning photographs and enjoy the panoramic views of Maenam. The expansive view invites you to pause and take it all in, appreciating the beauty of nature and the tranquility that surrounds you. There’s a good chance you’ll be the only people up there. If you’re there in the evening you can enjoy some sunset views.
Beyond its natural beauty, Maenam Viewpoint offers a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of the island’s popular tourist spots. Take a moment to relax and soak in the serenity of the surroundings. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking to get away from the crowds!
