Best value beef noodle soup
Hidden away in a side street in the bustling tourist district of Danshui is Xile Beef Noodle Restaurant where I had some of the best value beef noodle soup in Taiwan!
The interior is modest but comfortable enough. They also have a pet golden retriever who hangs around inside.
They offer two main beef noodle soups, the braised type (slightly spicy) and clear broth type. I had the clear broth one and it was delicious. What’s amazing is how much beef they give you – easily 2-3 times more than your typical beef noodle soup shop. And it’s even cheaper than most other places, only $150 NT per bowl when I went in April 2023!
